Chips: 8,339 | | | Custom Walnut and Curly Maple Poker Chest for my Samurai Chips So - I have this guy at work that loves to do woodworking in his spare time. he likes to use fine woods and do lots of inlay work and such. He comes by looking for assistance with his servers and laptops, so I started talking to him about building me a chest for my Samurai Palace chips. He was very excited - or atleast pretended to be (sounds like my wife) - and said he would start getting some ideas together. Well, that was six months ago and many, many visits with different ideas being thrown around. I've really been trying not to push him because he's doing this for a fantastic price.
Yesterday he asked me to come out to his truck and he showed me a full-scale mockup he made out of poplar. It is almost identical to what the finished product will look like, except for the top - which will be a lid - and a few other treats. The trays are the actual trays that will be used, but they still need to be sprayed with some "fuzzy stuff". I figured I would start this out by posting pics of the prototype so you guys can have fun waiting with me. I'm going to ask him to take plenty of pictures as he goes, but sometimes he gets wrapped up in his work... | | Sponsored Links | |

Chips: 8,339 | | | Re: Custom Walnut and Curly Maple Poker Chest for my Samurai Chips Thanx bud. The top really is going to look different - with a full walnut top with some kind of inlay work done in curly maple. This prototype doesn't do it justice at all, but I figured it was a good starting point for the post. |
