Re: First Custom Chip Tray - PICS

I here you Danny, but price aside, there's nothing like making something yourself... its the same reason we all don't play on table toppers...

Re: First Custom Chip Tray - PICS

The 5star tray is nice enough. The price is certainly right, but there's no way that you can compare that rack to the pieces of art Brake is turning out. Its like comparing a Ford Focus to a Porsche 911. Sure they're both cars, and the Focus will be cheaper and get you to work just the same, but with the Porsche you're paying for more than just the function. The 5star racks are fine for a utilitarian cabinet, but if you're looking for something that's going to be a fine decorative piece, then Brake's chipracks are by far the best I've seen. I can't wait to see how the zebrawood rack turns out!

His equipment makes all the difference: proper tools + his knowhow = quick production. Most of our time was spent prepping the wood for the Shopbot. The sides did take some time too - many trips through the thickness planer.
Jealous...jealous...jealous! That sounds fabulous, wish I could've seen it. A dust collection system is something I'd really like.
