I ordered my chips now what???? aka Chip Cases

Now how am I gonna store these... what type of case or cage do I want?

after much deliberation ( I am new here but been researching and looking into what chips I wanted and what not for months...lol) Anyhoo, I made the decision I wanted a birdcage style case for my chips! Something that would hold all 1000 of them plus was pretty portable, but looked good, showed the chip off a little and was sturdy and easy to use.

I liked everythng I read about the birdcages in general but had real concerns about how sturdy they really are... then I ran across these...

they come in cherry or black and I like how it has an internal frame, a frame around the acrylic base, and a lock pin at the bottom to lock down the whoel thing!

Anyhoo... just looking for any feedback or experience any of you have with birdcages and any recommendations....

As Joe at PalmImports told me yesterday, sit tight. He has 600 and 1000 chip cages coming in (in fact I think they arrived today). The are the Metal frame type that fold open at the top.
Check out his tread under market place. He said he would post pics soon.

Try some searching around here as those have been discussed before. I seem to remember there being something up with the wodden dowel/pin you see near the bottom. Personally, birdcages are nice if you don't travel with the chips much while cases are probably better if you do travel. I have 1k birdcage from my tourney set and I have an aluminim case from Lowes with chip racks and covers for my cash set; this has room for card setups and chips.

Similar to this (old pic as I have ASM now)
