Chip racks and COVERS for Paulsons

I have a rack question.

People have been posting major issues with racks sold by CGS because of the "high end chip" at the ends of the rows.

Now, if one were to buy racks that came with COVERS that allowed for stacking, wouldn't that eliminate the four chips at the end bearing all the weight of a rack being placed on top? The rack on top just slips over the rack cover below, right? My two rack and covers seem to do that now.

I am in the market for racks and I do not want to buy just racks if poker4ever's problems with four high chips is typical.
djriley had sent me his St Jo's in racks with covers (which I will post pics of soon to clarify) and I think I will just go this route to avoid the high chip issue.

the ones I found at 5star (link) seem to be the ones I already have. I will be buying the rack and cover set to avoid mismatches.

Is there anything I'm missing?

Problem with covers for me is they won't fit in a birdcage and I don't think you can find them in 66.7 mm widths (i.e., perfectly sized to fit Paulsons). The CDS racks do fit the Paulson chips perfectly as far as that goes. It's too bad that the edge chips are raised. Covers will work well if you're not looking for these two qualities (i.e., 66.7mm and fits in birdcage) in a chip rack.

Re: Chip racks and COVERS for Paulsons

I throw the chip racks and covers into a backpack anyway.
Not gonna get a birdcage.

And as long as I can't fit 21 paulsons into a row I don't care if they're loose.
If I CAN fit 21 into the rack and that makes me miscount that would be annoying. HPT reviews seem to say 20 per.

Then I'd probably just go with 25x4 boxes
