I am expecting delivery of a small set of TR Kings in the next several weeks. I ordered 84 each of three nondenominated chips for use as a travel set - one that would easily fit in a backpack.

The set was originally intended to be filled out with a couple more denominations to make a set of 500, but with the inability to order more of these chips for a while, it is looking like the set will remain at 252 chips for at least the forseeable future.

With that in mind, I am looking for storage for 250 chips - which is something of an odd number for a set. I found a 250-chip walnut box on kardwell.com, but it costs $60 plus shipping. For that, I could almost get a pelican case.

So I am looking for a good way to store 252 TR Kings in a container that is durable enough to withstand being schlepped around in a backpack, i.e. something without a nice finish on the outside that I would have to worry about.

I know the easy answer is to get a cheap 300-chip case and simply not fill it all the way, but am wondering if there are any more creative solutions out there.
