Let me say that I like the design in general, and that I really like the 100 chip wooden trays and the room for lots of stuff other than chips in the top of the case.

When you open the top of the case, and door on the front will sometimes fall open. When it does this it cracks the wood around the hinges:

BOTH of mine developed this same problem after about six months of use.

I wonder if some kind of magnet could be used to keep the front door more secure? Something self-adhesive, and not too thick or strong. I don't have one of these cases (yet), so I don't have any idea of how tightly it closes normally.

I've been trying to figure out for the last month what kind of case(s) to get for my 1000 chips, I'm thinking this is the way I might go Extra room for other stuff, plus room for 200 more chips for future expansion. And it looks nice.

Re: Wooden Chip Case from Poker Chips OnLine

I have two and love them. I have always tried to prevent the front doors from falling and have not had any problems up to this point (after eight months or so). I may try the magnet idea though, thanks for the suggestion. YOU DA MAN!!!!!!!

Re: Wooden Chip Case from Poker Chips OnLine

Hopefully you can find something that works

Would make it easier on me when I get around to getting one myself, heheh.
