A new idea for chip storage?

I am going to buy a set of 600 hot stamped ASMs in the near future and have been thinking about how I should store them. Have any of you ever thought of using a padded camera bag?

Maybe something like this?

Re: A new idea for chip storage?

No matter what you decide on you should make sure you use chip boxes, or chip racks with lids! Dont want the precious babies rolling around in there!!

Re: A new idea for chip storage?

Have you considered the Pelican case options? Here is a review. They make camera cases too.

I am rather fond of that review for some reason.

I love that review. I am thinking about two of them to hold my ASM X14/3D14 set in a couple of months!!!

Re: A new idea for chip storage?

Haven't thought about a soft bag but 600 chips is about 11+ Lbs... like having a gallon & a half of milk in that soft bag... just seems a little heavy for a softcase.

FWIW I use a used hard camera case...
