What case for new ASM's

Ok the ASM's will be coming in sometime in the not to distant future. Spent all my money on the chips, so now I need a good case to hold minimum 500 chips for a very reasonable price. I do not think they will be moved around alot, but you never know.
I would prefer something available in a store instead of online, I'm not a big buy online person.
I saw the pelican case in the reviews and the birdcage and the one from homedepot.
What are your recommendations, I know I shouldn't cheap out on a case, but really do not want to spend $100 on a case. Otherwise I could just order it from PC.com.
Opinions?

Edit: Would love one of these http://www.pokerchips.com/cases98/w_cases.html

Re: What case for new ASM's

seems like the 1000ct case when full would be HEAVY.

(Nice, though!)

It will break your f****in arm off. Trust me. If you just want something to keep your chips contained and you're not going to be moving them except room to room, it's fine. Matter of fact that's exactly what I do. If you're actually planning to go mobile don't go bigger than 500 count.

Re: What case for new ASM's

Or do like my plan, I got a Pelican 1510 case that has roller wheels and an retractable arm I guess, what would that be called. Its exactly the biggest carryone size allowed, according to Pelican and is nice to be able to roll around. Well I hope so I havn't used it yet, I still need to order Chipco boxes for my chips and then start arranging everything to fit inside. Very nice case, should be able to hold my 1100ct tourney set very nicely. I also got a great deal on it thanks to a member here who posted a company selling them throught Amazon for $115 shipped.

Thats a great deal but I plan on adding to my set over time and 500 would mean a new case next year/ late this year.

I like the solid wood ones at PC but could never afford it after getting chips, and it would never be travelling with me.

Maybe my best bet is a birdcage, and one know a place to get them in canada?
