5star racks (with covers)

Hi
I know this has probably been discussed somewhere else on this forum, but I really don't feel like trying to find it. I just purchased some 5star racks with covers (5x20, with the diamond on the top), and I was wondering if an acrylic chip spacer would fit in it with 20 paulsons. Right now the paulsons are loose, but not loose enough to get 21 in. Just wondering if anyone had tried this yet.
Thanks, kingskid0424

Re: chipco racks (with covers)

It shouldn't. It depends upon which Paulsons but I can't fit a spacer into a Chipco rack even with some of the earlier Paulson chips from the 80's

Re: chipco racks (with covers)

Chipco chip racks with covers that are 5 x 20? Where did you get these? I thought the Chipco boxes were 4x25 and the racks were 5x20 but I never heard of a cover for them..

Re: chipco racks (with covers)

I am pretty sure these are chipco. It didn't actually say chipco, but from the descriptions of the boxes that I've read they are. On the top of the cover is an elongated diamond. I got these at legends gaming store.

Re: chipco racks (with covers)

Unless they say "Chipco" on the bottom of them, they aren't chipco racks.
From what I know, any new chips comming from Chipco, say Chipco on the bottom of each rack.

Re: 5star racks (with covers)

OK just realized that these are the racks with covers that they have on 5star. I haven't actually seen the chipco racks (I don't think so, at least). I thought I had read somewhere that they had a diamond on the top. Now does any one know if a spacer will help these fit better? My chips are 2005 JB Paulsons, if that helps.

Re: 5star racks (with covers)

The racks that 5Star carries now are made in China, not the old ones that were domestically made. You can almost fit a 21st chip in a row, so you can probably fit a chip spacer into one. You can distinquish the Chipco racks by the Chipco name that is molded into the bottom of the rack.

Re: 5star racks (with covers)

The 5star racks I have (didn't come with covers but I think they're the same with and without) easily fit 21 chips per (Paulson Pharaohs). Wtih the ones I have you could easily use a chip spacer to snug them up.

Re: 5star racks (with covers)

Well I bought some of the covered chip boxes from HPC with the diamond top.. no mention of chipco anywhere on the boxes... though they are said to be chipco on the website ?

Seem very sturdy thick plastic which holds my Paulsons very well... just got to sort out the Pelican/Storm case next..

Matt

Re: 5star racks (with covers)

I got boxes direct from Chipco and they look exactly the same as the ones on HPC's website and don't say Chipco anywhere on them.
