Question for all you that bought a Pelican.

Does it open smoothly? I just got my 1500 in the mail and it doesn't open as I expected. It has what I would describe as a "hitch" midway through the range of motion. You basically have to pull it through a short range of higher tension, and then it finishes opening. Hope I described it well...

Anyone else experience this??

I have several different Pelican's I use for many different purposes and have never experienced this with any of them.

Great. Maybe I'll see if any local camera stores carry them and see if I can go through them. I don't have the box it came in anymore.

I know what you are describing. Its sort of 'catching' on something as you open, then pops. Lifetime warranty remember, give pelican a call!
