How do I know? Because I own both. The Task Force is slightly smaller, but is much better constructed: closes tighter, walls are more rigid, dividers fit better. Also, the Task Force case (at least the one I bought at my local Lowe's) comes with "pick-n-pluck" foam for the bottom and eggcrate foam in the top, the Husky does not. And I think the Task Force only comes in silver, while the Husky comes in red and black as well.
My mission in life apparently is to end all confusion about these cases, so here goes: - There are exactly two different cases pictured in this thread: the Task Force case from Lowe's, and the Husky case from Home Depot.
- The Husky case from Home Depot is not the same case as the Task Force case from Lowe's. Dimensions and construction quality are quite different (see my post here).
- Both cases come with adjustable bottom dividers and an upper tool pallet.
- Only the Task Force case additionally includes bottom "pick-n-pluck" foam and top eggcrate foam--the Husky does not.
- The "Guard Force" case on Lowe's website has the same item number as the Task Force case you can buy at a B&M Lowe's--thus they are the same case. See my other post in this thread here (it pays to read all the posts in a thread sometimes).
So do you want to +rep me now, or +rep me later, baby?

I did read your post earlier in this thread, but there still seemed to be some confusion, which got even more confusing when it seemed there were two different cases being talked about as one.
Now the only question is why didn't the case I looked at at Lowes have the eggcrate foam for the top?
Thanks for the clarification. + rep now |

Because someone took it out?
Take it back and exchange it. |

All of the other ones on the shelf had both pieces of foam.
BTW, it's great to be able to discuss eggcrate foam in a meaningful, sincere way with others on a public forum. |

There are two different task force cases available at Lowes.
I bought one of the internet and had to drive about 20 miles (pass by a couple Lowes on the way) to La Habra to pick it up. Well, when I brought it home it didnt have the eggcrate and seemed pretty cheap. I decided to take it back to my local lowes and when I was there checked around just to make sure I didnt get one without an eggcrate. I found one left but it was a different package and came with everything everyone has been talking about. It also seems to be made much better
Just thought I would let everyone know
