Re: Task Force case

Hey guys, just to be sure since the seemed to be some confusion on the topic. There almost seems to be two cases being talked about here. One appears to have some sort of "dividers" and one has perforated foam. Are they in fact two different cases or does it come with both foam and dividers and some chose one or the other? I definitely want the foam, not the dividers.

All I see on Lowe's website is the "Guardforce" which also seems to be a point of confusion. Is that the right one?

Can anybody who has one of these cases and uses chip racks (5x20) test to see how many chipracks you could fit in the case (in any configuration, I want to use chip racks with covers so sideways is fine)?

Thanks guys.

Re: Task Force case

I have the Taskforce/Guardforce case and it COULD conceivably hold 1700 chips (17 racks w/ covers). Honestly, the case would be heavy and I don't think its really that sturdy for 1700 chips. I'd say 1200-1400 is probably the useful max.

Here is a snapshot of 1 of my cases. Sideways, you can get 1000 chips in and then upto 700 in racks with covers on top of them.

awesome, thanks. It looks like you have to take all of the foam out to fit that right?

Re: Task Force case

No foam comes with this one, just the dividers you see in the Lowes online picture.

Re: Task Force case

No foam was in the case I bought either. I still haven't gotten around to getting chip boxes for it, but I should do that pretty soon.

I think I posted earlier in this thread, or some other thread... mine is a Fuller case, and similar to the other non-Taskforce case that's been mentioned here.

Re: Task Force case

A lot of the Pelican cases and similar camera style cases come with foam. You can always buy foam from local stores to put in the case.

Re: Task Force case

I just checked one out at Lowes. It had both perforated foam and the dividers, but no eggcrate for the top (just the tool pouch on top). Did people add the eggcrate to the top or is it a different case that comes with it? You can clearly see eggcrate foam in several of the pictures in this thread.
