How best to Oil ASM chips?

I just got my chips from pokerchips.com last night (500 clay spotted, roman mold, no inlay - pictures soon, if people are interested).

Anyway, a while back I remember seeing a post describing the best way to oil chips. Would someone please either point me to that post, or offer up their opinion as to how best to oil chips (i.e. how much oil per chip, how best to apply, etc.)

I used a VERY small drop of Curad on some old Paulson hot stamps I have. Shined them up nicely, even the browns which were scratched to heck. As a bonus, my thumb and forefinger has never been softer after 600 chips.
