dyeing paulsons?

I have a set of old Paulson solids, Lavender, with some color irregularities. I had memories of dyeing Faux Clays several years ago with fairly good results. Does anyone know if Paulsons will take the dye? I'd like a deeper purple anyway.

If no one has tried I'm happy to be the guinea pig, but there doesn't seem to be much left that you guys HAVEN'T done to poker chips. Figured I'd ask.

Re: dyeing paulsons?

I've tried it with some Paulson Cherries and had terrible luck/results. Though it could have been user error as well. I'm curious too if others have had luck or I just suck at chip dying

Jeff, would you mind sharing a bit more detail about your experience? What steps did you take, and any idea what went wrong?
