Aztar cleaning Before and After

I have 800 Aztars to clean before the next game. I plan on cleaning 200 at a time. All i used is some dishsoap and a toothbrush, and mineral oil. Some of the Aztars are really dirty. I am still looking for a rack of $100's to complete the set.

The ones on the right are just cleaned they look chalky the uncleaned ones are on the left. aztar (2).JPG waiting to be cleaned aztar (3).JPG Chips taking a bath aztar b &a.JPG Before and after not all chips were this dirty these were the baddest of the bad aztar (5).JPG

Re: Aztar cleaning Before and After

I have a set of used casino Aztar's coming into my possession very soon so good to see this kind of info. Just to clarify a few things; Did you use warm water or cold when soaking in dishsoap, how long did you let them soak for, if at all? Also, when you oiled them, did you just rub the oil in for a few seconds then let them stay oily overnight or did you just oil 20 chips and dry them off straight away?

Thanks, they look great by the way!

Don't bother with dishsoap. Get some TSP. Works 10x better. Then you will want an SOS pad to very gently clean the inlays.

Re: Aztar cleaning Before and After

I guess I should get some of that TSP/DCC. I have some AP's that are so stubborn, I have all but mentally blocked them out of existence. I can't decide if once I finally get them clean if I will immediately sell the entire set due to the giant pain in the ass it's been, or if I'll be so strongly bound to them that I'll hold onto them forever. Cleaning is a b!tch, but your Aztars are lookin' gooood! Well done.
