The seller will remain nameless, I bought these a few months back but have since sold them on.
Seriously, wrap white clay chips in tinfoil?! That's just weird (and clearly stupid)! I'm reliably informed that the seller has taken onboard the learning points from this episode.
Anyone got any more horrific packing pics?
Edit - this was actually what the chips looked like when I opened the box, nothing to pad out the empty spaces in there!
Not exactly a chip, but the same shape...I got a CD once, that was shipped loose in a Ziplock freezer bag (no case inside, just the CD) -- in a priority mail envelope (no padding inside, just placed in the standard cardboard envelope.) Somehow it wasn't snapped in half, and it still played.
This same type packing job was talked about a few months back and the Seller got ripped big time. Now this? Can someone please tell me is this the same person doing this.
I've wrapped some loose chips in foil before, but taped them like a mummy...only do that when I've filled a box and there are 10 chips or so left over. Looks almost like someone rifled through that box....
I try and ship in the cardboard chip boxes or in racks wrapped in saran wrap then taped around completely...I've yet to get a packaging complaint....plus I use a sh*tload of foam when packing to make sure nothing moves a fraction of an inch...movement is the killer!
I think one of the worst package I've received is on a single chips. The cost of the chip was not huge, maybe $40-$50. The chip was taped to a piece of paper in a plain white envelope. Nothing else inside!
Maybe we should put a stick post in the Classified area to show how to package and put this picture in as Not to do. This person obviously 'tried' packaging the chips but just does know how. I'll give him 'E' for effort.

Why foil? I've wrapped a few chips in paper and then bubble wrap. Foil seems so harsh..
