Chips: 433 | | | Re: Best packed chips... or not I recieved my Southern Elegance chips in a box. No peanuts, bubble wrap, newspaper, cardboard, racks, chip trays.. just 1200 chips put into a few postal envelope type bags thrown into a box. I was lucky and only 1 or 2 broke. Thankfully they werent clay.. I'd have gotten a box of powder if they were. I actually made my second LOLcat submission earlier poking fun at this, since I wasn't the only person who this happened to with these same chips. Vote for my LOLCAT!! |

Chips: 1,186 | | | Re: Best packed chips... or not I have received many somewhat valuable collectible chips that were simply inserted in a letter size envelope with no protective packaging at all.
Also received a batch of 300+ sample chips that were simply placed loose in a plastic grocery bag and then stuffed in a priority mail box. The plastic bag wasn't even tied shut. It was a mess. Many cracked ceramics and a lot of clay color transfer.
The worst though was a box of what were supposedly mint Pharaohs - blues and whites. 500+ red, blue and white chips were stuffed loose in a cardboard box and shipped to me that way with no protective liner of any kind. The chips arrived not only well-worn, but with massive color transfer and most of the whites appeared to be light blue and/or pink.

Chips: 1,186 | | | Re: Best packed chips... or not I completely forgot about the worst chip packaging atrocity of all. A priority flat rate mailer box (the long rectangular kind with adhesive) that was purportedly packed full of mint Paulson Winner club chips arrived at my residence opened and empty of all contents. It was apparently packed too full for the USPS adhesive and busted the seams. It was a shame too because the seller didn't insure it for it's full value - rather just $100. So sad.

My goal is to make sure there is no movement in shipping. I wouldn't put 50 chips in a stack..just 10.
