Dirty vs Oxy Cleaned vs Oiled CP's, Great Pics

Well I just added 600 CP's to my collection for my cash game.

Some of them had been used pretty hard so I figured a good cleaning would be a great place to start.

I used Oxy Clean Free about one scoop to one gallon of cold water, with a plastic strainer with the chips inside the bowl of Oxy Clean.

As I let them soak you could actually watch the dirt release and rise to the surface of the water!

I then pulled the chips out one by one and wiped them down with a towel (after seeing that a toothbrush was overkill) and was amazed by what I saw, they looked brand new.

As they sat on a towel to dry you could watch them dry out and get lighter and lighter.

After I felt they were as dry as they were gonna get, it was time for some mineral oil, and all I can say is WOW, somebody recently said "Oiled chips are happy chips" and nothing could be closer to the truth!

Now I couldn't figure out how to get pics to show here in the thread, so I posted them at the link below, just simply click on the "View as Guest" box and you'll be able to see the pics with thier dicsriptions of what you're looking at.

AOL Pictures - View Share

If somebody wanted to repost them here that would be cool.

I think these are great pictures and clearly show the benefits of a little work!

Hope this helps out the community, as the community has helped me out so much.

Very nice work...those CP blues have really sharp colors, glad you could bring those out again. I'm a believer in Oxy Clean, it really does clean the crud off.

I have use both Oxy Clean and Blue Shield. I like Blue Shield better....It does take some time but BS will not harm or discolor your chips. IMO....

Very nice CP. Give us some more pron will you.
