Chips: 133 | | | oiling chips, one time deal or do you oil frequently, i.e. once every year? 6 month? i was planning on letting my samurais oil naturally over time, but eh......my impatience is getting the best of me. so wondering if oiling is a one time thing you guys do or if you oil on a regular basis and if so, what is the frequency of oiling? | | Sponsored Links | |

I oiled mine once, when I got them 1.5 years ago. Most of that oil seems to have worn off -- they definitely don't have that bright "freshly oiled" look anymore, but they have a "handled" look now, far from being chalky like they were when purchased. Edges still look bright. I won't oil them again unless they get shelved for a long while (and I don't know why I'd do that to them). |

thanks, dunford, the samurais are great, very classy. i've been handling a box of them at a time on weekends (100 at a time) shuffling through them until they shuffle well and get the natural oil on them but i don't think it's as "shiny" as if i oiled them. but they do have that "natural" look that i like, so still on the fence.
i also got several hundred tmold chips for a cash set. no hot stamp, flexible to use in .25/.50, .50/1, 1/2 cash games since i don't have any denoms stamped on them.
overall they are all great chips | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
