Chips: 2,343 | | | How would you store 2500 chips? I'm looking for input on storing chips. I have a couple of the 1000 chip plastic cubes and I bought one of those 1200 chip oak chests with the fliptop lid and the drawers. So, I guess I could use 3 carriers or buy a couple more of the oak chests.
Can anyone offer up alternatives? Has anyone seen a 2500+ chip case? |

I own the 1200 chip wood chest as well. The 1200 chip wood chest to be fine if you're not going to carry the chips anywhere. However, if you're going to take your chips somewhere, Casinocom.com has nice wood cases of various sizes that hold up to 1000 chips (you would have to buy two 1000s and one 500) that hold the chips in a flat rack. Sturdy wood, good accessibility and less bulk than the chests. They are lighter than the chests, but still pretty heavy. |

Do you need to travel with these chips? If so, I'd suggest racks w/ lids and rolling tool chest similar to rolling cooler. If you don't need to travel, what's wrong with racks and then a simple cabinet of sorts. |

What I have in mind would be a shelf with glass door so you could store them and still see them all behind glass. I have three of the American Oak Poker Chip Chests and love them, but what I have come to appreciate more is simply storing my chips in 400 count acrylic birdcages and setting them on the bookshelf in my office. This way they are easy to see, easy to access, and easy break out for game time.
As far as portable storage, you got me - 2,500 chips would weigh so much I can't even imagine trying to move them without breaking them down into more manageable subsets as opposed to trying to carry them all in one case.

You could store well over 2500 chips on the bookcase and still have room for your poker books. Not to mention the great pleasure you get from walking by the bookcase and seeing all of your chips on display.
Some of my chips are stored in racks on the shelves and some are stored in wooden carousels on the shelves and it looks awesome. I'll try to snap some pics.
This is a very affordable option as well. |

Chips: 2,343 | | | Re: How would you store 2500 chips? I'm browsing ebay for pelican type cases. I'm thinking about putting the large set of chips in trays with lids and stacking them in the pelican case. I have chips on display, mostly sample sets and casino chips. I'm leaning towards having the samples on display rather than 2500 of the same set sitting out. I probably should have mentioned the goal is to reduce the clutter factor. Additional oak chests might work as they do look decent on a shelf. Thanks for the feedback so far. Every little bit helps. |

Been thinking about something along these lines. Would love to see some pics of different ones to get ideas. Quote:
