I received my sample protege pokerchips from buypokerchips.com last week.

Since then there is a yellow color that starts on the outer edge of the inlays.

You can see it especially at the blue $1 chip. I added another clay chip for reference, i bought that one in at the same time.

What can cause this? Is this normal?

They are not stored in a box, they just sit on my desk in my bedroom. Is this an effect on the high humidity when i sleep?

That is part of the original design. It is supposed to be there, and has been there the whole time, you may have not noticed it until now.

However, that double mold stamp on the second $500 appears to be some kind of error...

Lol i noticed the double mold just now when you say it, i guess you can see it more noticeable in a scanned image than in real life.

Its interesting that both 500s show the error, although its much more visible in the second one.

Hope this is cool to post, but if you do decide to buy Proteges, IMO you won't find a better price anywhere than HERE. Best part is that they are pre-oiled & basically brand new.

my royal classic BCC samples had the same thing as the double mold stamp, except the predominant mold and second stamp were different molds.

A bunch of the NCV's I got from UW's sale had the same double stamp.
