Oiling Hotstamped Chips ???

This may be a dumb question... but I was curious to know if it is okay or safe to oil chips that have been hotstamped... specifically, Paulson hotstamped chips.

Please help.

Wipe the oil onto the chip with your fingertips. You save oil and can avoid the hotstamps.

I cleaned and oiled my cherries without incident. Used "heavy white mineral oil, ACS-grade" (but whatever the drugstore sells will be fine).

Just don't expose them to any harsh organic solvents - especially acetone, metanol, ethanol (> 40%), or toluene - and they'll be fine.

Should be just fine but in case you have an "unproven batch" just oil one. Leave it for a few days and try to take off the hotstamp with your fingernail.

That'll tell ya all ya need to know.
