I guess I would double check the security rules for brining that much clay/palstic on the plane - hopefully they don't think it is explosive matter | QTF. To save yourself some time going through security, open your case when you put it on the conveyer belt. It might also speed you through if you drop your trousers around your ankles and declare that you're carrying chips.
I went through a pretty thorough search coming back from the bahamas with a roll of about fifty chips in my backpack. This included swabbing every piece of carry on that I had. The screener told me the density of the chips makes them suspect. |

the insulation that prevents the beers getting hot may help with chips on their long road journey.
Don't put the freeze packs in though |

Don't put the freeze packs in though | This seems like a decent idea. You probably would need a freezer pack(maybe a small one) in there though. Those coolers seem to trap what ever temp is inside the cooler. |

Let's stay in touch for when you come down for the cruise though. I assume the cruise is out of Galveston but you are flying into Houston? If we've found a place and are marginally settled we could have an impromptu game and warm you up so you can take all the money on the boat!
Cheers! | Welcome to Houston!! You'll have no problem finding a game down in these parts. What part of Houston are you moving to? I got some empty space laying around so if ya want you can ship them down here you are more than welcome to. Since you'll have to shop for houses when you get here you can get a head start. Check out www.HAR.com. Good luck with the move!! |

I went to Staples, bought their cheapo $20 briefcase and you can set in there 8 chip racks full (Chipco racks are a bit big but the cheaper acrylic work great). Then you can place on the front 6 rows another empty rack on top of those 600 chips. Actually it's easier to put those top empties on before you drop them in the case. This leaves the back two racks without a top if you will -- can't use an empty chip rack because the hinge hits it. I've used a couple old dish towels folded long ways or some foam of some sort. Works like a charm! Too bad we were not closer -- I've got 3 brief cases sitting here I used to use before I bought all my birdcages.
BTW, it the above doesn't make sense, LMK and I'll post up a pic.
Good luck! |

As for location we'll be moving into a short term place while we look for a condo/house...but ultimately we'd like to be close to the Medical Center as we'll be working there and from what we've seen we like the area too. Thanks for the link!

Then, rip its head off, remove stuffing, fill it with poker chips, and place it in this:
Pushing it onto the plane, if they'll let you. Otherwise, just put decapitated teddy in a back-pack and take as carry-on.
