Hey guys, just wondering about your personal experiences with chip sanding. I've heard it can give the chip a better feel and the ability to stack higher. What are your thoughts? If you've had experiences with dice chips and nexgens in particular, I would like to hear them. Also, do you wet sand or dry sand and what grit paper do you use?

Are you refering to sanding a hot stamp for the purposes oflabeling them (like a Paulson)? If not I have never heard of sanding a chip for any reason

I don't see why any chip would need to be sanded? Does sanding it help the label stick?

It just lets you flatten the surface that has been hot-stamped. So yes, it does help the label stick because it will lie flat.

I'm pretty sure that he wants to know if anyone has sanded the entire surface of the chip, I would say don't do it

exactly - and from what I was told by Steveo who has labeled a bunch of hot stamped paulsons it also is because non sanded hot stamps can be felt and the outline seen through a label

I suppose clay and ABS chips can be sanded but I don't think I sand any of my chips.

I was reading a nexgen review, the guy said he sanded the chips lightly and now they stack to 50....? Any truth to that?

I remember watching this guy's chip videos. He didn't sand much, but the difference was extremely noticeable.
