Is it better to label chips before oiling?

Is better to label your chips before oiling them? Will oiling them before hand keep the label from sticking to the chip?

Definitely label before oiling or the oil will prevent label from sticking. Also I hope those are clay chips that you are talking about, if not clay, DO NOT oil.

Re: Is it better to label chips before oiling?

On labeled clays, you should avoid the inlay area anyway when you oil them.
Just go for the mold, using your finger tips and rubb the oil onto the chip that way.

Re: Is it better to label chips before oiling?

After clay chips are in play about six months you might not be able to tell an unoiled chip from an oiled chip. So why go through all the trouble if you are going to put labels on?
