Re-oiling? Or...

Bought some T Mold samples a while ago and oiled them right off the bat. Since then I have been shuffling them to death. They broke in nicely but it seems even with the oils from my hands I can tell they're drying up some. I cleaned and re oiled them to make them look like new again. I'm wondering if I should just break new clays in and then oil them instead of oiling them right off the bat? This way I don't have to oil them twice. What do you guys think?

I'll go for oiling new clay chips right away if you are going to oil them at all.

I oiled my PI clays 2 months ago, and noticed they were pretty dry last week. So I reoiled all 1200 of them.

Question: How long are they supposed to stay "oiled" (if not played with often) before they dry out?

I left them slightly oily (didn't bother to completely let them dry) since I figured they'd just get dry again.

You should definitely let labeled chips dry completely before putting them away in stacks.

I'm surprised that you guys had to re-oil the chips. The oil must've really soaked in.

What happens if you have a little oil on the labels and you put them back in the case. Let's say there's a small drop or two on the label.
