Chips: 152 | | | Which oil to use? So I went to the apothecary/drugstore here in Germany and bought 100ml of Parrafinöl
According to wiki there are three different mixtures
1.Paraffinum liquidum (thin, low viscosity) 2.Paraffinum perliquidum (viscous) 3.Paraffinum solidum (solid and therefore useless)
I bought the viscous one because the first one was out of stock.
I used it on some sample Paulsons after cleaning them from the dirt and other chip colors. I know that Paulsons are not that good to oil but I was at least hoping they would not get dirty or change colors so easily.
So what are your experiences with different kinds of oils?
I would think that a thin oil would be better because it includes shorter molecules and can be better absorbed, but that just my opinion. |

The theory is the oil + wax (which I believe is what the OP is referring to) would seal the surface better than oil alone. This would keep the chips cleaner. I'm not a casino, so it probably won't make a bit of difference.
Use what you have, and don't otherthink it. |
