Chips: 49 | | | Packaging small quantities for shipment to....Canada. So, shipping out some T-molds to Jdunford. Since he's in god foresaken Canada, it's not cheap to ship any quantity of chips. I figured the cheapest way for him to go was a $9.00 flat rate envelope. The issue, how to get them in the envelope without them bunching in a corner or causing a lump that could get snagged. Then I remember the piece of crap X-mas gift we got a few years ago that we never use...foodsaver. Grab a bag, put chips in stacks of 2 for rigidity, space them out for flexibilty and let er' rip.
The bag is rigid enough that it stays straight in envelope evenly distibuted.
Now just need to add a bit of padding and off the the Great White North, eh.
Padding. Have some left over 3/16th headliner, so I make a little padded bag.

Nice use of the kitchen shrink wrapper....If I had one, they would be shipped just like that from me as well. |

Chips: 49 | | | Re: Packaging small quantities for shipment to....Canada. WEnt to the PO today, they no longer use global priority anything, all the standard USPS domestic stuff. You just pay more.
I tell you this, these chips better not get wet!
Chips ready to rock! (don't worry J, I'm going to tape the crap out of it...doubt the zip strip will be effective)

I'm going to ship tomorrow, the lady at the PO said it was $9.00 flat rate for this envelope to Canadastan or Mexicopia.

I'm glad you (finally) found a set of chips that you've been happy with for more than a week. Hopefully some $5s will come into stock soon, too, so you can actually play a full game with them.
By the way, I'll be sure to take some pics to show everybody what USPS/CanadaPost did/didn't do to the package. I'm looking forward to getting these black chips.
Now, if you (and others) knew what I was going to do with them, you might not let me have them... (more to follow) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
