Glad Press n' Seal works pretty well also.

Cool, no holes in it? I was curious how it arrived.

I guess it doesn't matter...as you said you are going to soil them...

Thank you.
I took pics during the opening process. Had to cut through the tape to get into the envelop. Then had to tear open the stapled foam (scissors wouldn't go through it). Nearly pulled a muscle trying to tear open the food-saver bag - eventually went back to the scissors...

They look great. They survived our dogsled service and sub-zero temperatures up here in "god-forsaken Canada". Now for the fun part.... hopefully I'll have time to deface them this afternoon...

Re: Packaging small quantities for shipment to....Canada.

So it's safe to say they survived the packaging...good. Never sure if a chip will poke out of those crappy paper/cardboard envelopes.

Just waiting to hear about the rest I shipped to Australia...

Re: Packaging small quantities for shipment to....Canada.

Pics of packaging posted above. Consider that the "before" pic.

Now for the "after" pics...

Put simply, my purchase of T-mold solids was inspired by the "why hasn't anybody made a cool Kill button" thread. I'd often wondered that same thing, and decided I wanted to make a Samurai Palace kill button. Of course, I don't need 20 kill buttons, so I turned the set of 20 into:

1 "kill" button
3 "missed blinds" buttons (for when players take a "smoke break" during a cash game and have to post a blind when they get back because they weren't present for the last one)
15 "bounty" and/or "show'em" and/or "rabbit hunting" chips
1 special version of the same... might be used as a trophy at the next major tourney or as a card protector or something

Here they are:

Kill button (both sides)

And in its air-tite (with black ring); had trouble focussing on it:

Assorted buttons - all in air-tights; most are the "direct fit" variety.

I started off using a stencil, but then I found it looked better freehand (most of the time)... so they (obviously) aren't all perfectly identical, but they have "character" and will serve my purposes.

What did you use, one of those silver sharpies?

Well, for the 15 silver samurai kanji, I bought this fancy $4 silver "opaque paint" marker from a specialty art store (on the Ontario College of Art & Design campus). I used it for 3 of them before deciding it was too thick ("medium point my @$$"). Then I switched to a silver marker that looked almost identical but was much easier to use (and narrower point).

The gold samurai was also a marker (same as the silver).

The white Kill button was a "Sharpie" brand "opaque white paint" marker. Fine point. It worked VERY well.

And then I felt I'd wasted $4 for that stupid paint marker, so I used it to colour in the inlay regions of 3 of the chips, then used a black Sharpie (with medium and fine points) to do the kanji and "missed blinds" text.

It's not perfect, but it'll do. I'll rarely ever use any of them, but they might come in handy, and look good with the set. That way, my non-denom quarter-pies can continue to be 5c, 50c, or $20 for cash games, and/or T10k for tourneys.

The moral of the story: paint and ink adhere very well to T-molds. I'm sure "cold-stamping" with Staz-on will work just as well.
