Just Bought 700 White Faux Clays - Help On Colors to Dye Them?

I just ordered 700 White Faux Clays with racks.

I currently host a .50/1.00 NLHE game, using my 1000 piece NEXGEN chips using the following color scheme (standard)

.50: Blue
$1: White
$5: Red
$25: Green
$100: Black (have not been in play yet)

I would like to keep the scheme similar with these Faux's, except for the blue .50's, these can be any unused color.

Using the link below to a RIT color chart, construct a color scheme for me to dye my whites. http://www.steinlaufandstoller.com/F...m%20Colors.htm

When I get home, I will photoshop some mock ups using the colors posted.

Thanks CT!

P.S.

I have a little exprience using RIt dye, I used to dye some white plastic lacrosse heads back in the day.

Additionally, anyone with faux clay dying experience, do you think the colors in the chart I linked to will accurately take to the white chips?

First attempt at a mockup. I think I am going to put together a brighter color scheme.

Colors you have there look fine, but what I would do, is just go & buy the black, green, and reds while they are still in stock.

Then go & let your creative juices flow with the off colors, like blue, purple, orange, yellow, gray. Or you could do half-pies or play with striping.

I have a bottle of dye sitting at home now ready for my chemical excursions.

JessterCPA:

I was going to just buy the black/green/red in the standard color. I decided if I was gonna dye some of the chips, I was gonna go 100% custom. I want to get some crazy colors.

It would have been easier to just order the offered colors then custom dye the ones that are not available, but this is more of an experiment in creativity. If I don't mess it up too much, I will have a sweet unique set.

I'll agree it will be sweet, if that lighter green works, and more of a vibrant red than the stock colors. Iguess a lot has not been done on those colors since they are available.

Good luck. I'll let you know how mine turn out also.

Re: Just Bought 700 White Faux Clays - Help On Colors to Dye Them?

I am going to look at some other color combinations (read: more crazy/brighter). The colors that are in the mock up image are not exactly what they will look like, since its kind of hard to quickly photoshop the different colors.

I will definitely post pictures of the process + results. Hopefully they turn out as wild as I see them in my head.

I may also experiment with taping off some edge spots designs.
