Great idea. I know the markers are permanent, but wondering how they would really last. Also what mark were you thinking of?
Well, I was thinking to literally trace the "Samurai" kanji (Japanese character) on the black side, but that might take too long and be painfully boring to do several hundred times. Besides, I really should mark both sides... I might take OnTheButton's advice and make a small kanji stencil that I could either paint or even just use the marker with. That should be a lot easier/faster and use much less ink (although slower and more ink than the rubber stamp method, but I don't like it as much for reasons posted above).
My wife helped too... if by "helped" you mean continually reminded me that I'm "totally insane" and that "you know, it would be nice if we could use the table again... this WEEK!"
(I wish I was kidding)
Yeah, my wife helped by watching TV, coming into the poker room where I was during commercial breaks, oiling 3 chips, telling me that she doesn't like her hands all oily, so she has to wash them each time and that makes her hands too dry if she washes them too often.
