Yes. I think it's a cool idea. Go for it!

No. It's just a waste of time unless you have serious security concerns.

Yes, there's a beach in Toronto.
Go here for some beach volleyball pr0n. |

Sure it is a fun idea, but I wouldn't want to risk them. And what about Joe's point: spend all that time marking them, and then the ink wears off? Cool idea, but I say don't hurt them -- please! |

Chips: 2,953 | | | Re: UV security for my Samurais If I were going to do this, I would cut a template out of something like a small sheet of tin, (even possibly the walls of a cut apart soda can) with and X-Acto knife, and buy some UV reactive paint and and spray them with an airbrush, possibly spraying a small amount of fixative over the paint with a slightly larger template (like the size of the whole inlay, but not the chip)
It would be cool, but sounds more like a waste of time unless you know for sure it will not wear off. It took me like 5 hours to oil my 1000 asms and I wasn't even looking at them most of the time. |

But unlike oiling, this isn't a super-messy project that I'd want to finish in one go. I could do 50 chips at a time (at most, one denom at a time, to make it simple) spread out over several weeks or even months until they're all done. There's no hurry to get the whole set done or anything. And I would definitely do my cash set (300 chips + spares) first. Then maybe my tourney set (now over 800 - that would take a while). I also have some non-denoms on order. That reminds me, I'll need to pick up more mineral oil...
I guess I could just do my cash $5s (since those are the highest priority; most likely to get duped, as far as security is concerned - not that that's really my goal, but...). After the next few cash games, I could see how it's holding up on those and then try the other denoms if I'm satisfied. |

Well as much as wives will help you do something that they didn't really want to do initially. |
