wow I just tried to buy it now $350 for 689 white $1.00 vintage hat and canes with CCC hotrstamped on one side and $1 on the other. it also came with 194 chips that someone spray painted black. The killer is that Whitecaro beat me to them by 5 seconds and I just bought chips from her...D'oh

Any chance you can post a link or a pic of those. Somebody was selling those a few months ago. Hot stamped white paulsons with CCC on one side. I wondered about the black chips. The descrpition said the blacks were also $1 chips. It never said they were painted. You could see the top hat/cane in the pics but their was no mention of paulson in the title or description though. I ran across them by accident when I was looking for custom labels. I think I typed in custom poker chips instead of custom labels and they were one of the first items to pop up. I forgot to go back and bid. Looked them up after the auction ended. They went for about $140 for 800 chips.

Have the auction open. At the top in the address bar, highlight the entire web address, then right click on the address and select 'copy'.

The open up a reply in CT, right-click anywhere in the typing space and select 'paste'.

I'm gullible, and going to assume you are serious. Either you are serious and are not that familiar with a computer (which is ok), or I'm just that gullible. Either way:

You can copy text on your computer and paste it into other windows/screens/programs/etc. If you goto the ebay auction and copy all the stuff after and including "http://www" in your web browser and paste it into your Chiptalk post, we can click on it and see the auction.

To copy:
Highlight all the text with your mouse. You do this by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the cursor over the text you want to copy. Let go of the right button and the text will be highlighted. Then click on Edit at the op of your web broswer (right by "File Edit View" at the top). Choose Copy from the menu.

To paste:
Start a new CT post. Type something in your post. Then go to the Edit menu again and choose Paste.

That's truly bizarre. I guess somebody wanted to make a playable set with 2 or more different denominations out of it... And as far as I know, any solvent that will dissolve the paint (toluene or other hydrocarbon-based paint thinners) will damage (aka dissolve and/or disfigure) the chips, too.

Yep. Thats the same picture of the chips I saw listed about a month or so ago. The whole set of a little over 800 chips went for $140.
