We all know that Paulson home chips have color transfer. Would an initial wash of the chips fix this problem? What other ways can you think of to eliminate color transfer?
If they are brand spanking new, you may wash some of the clay "dust" off of them - which may be the cause of initial color transfer.
I dont think washing them will stop the color transfer.
As mentioned, oiling will help.
Honestly, I dont see color transfer as a huge issue after they are broken in. Just give the chips a wash every once in a while and wash off the transfer.

So oiling them will do the trick? I don't have any home Paulson's right now, but was just wondering.
Oiling will help, but color transfer will still happen... its not that big of deal. Just wash the chips every so often and the transfer disappears. I have had some transfer with my blue and white and orange pharaohs, but nothing that has even made me think about washing them or oiling them.
