MY post is at http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/506499-post1224.html

The FCN post is:
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...ay-nation.html
under the title: OFFICIAL MEMBERS of the FAUX CLAY NATION.

Also, posting in your mock up post. If/When you order your "Computer Chips", could I request 20 of each (of course I'll take care of all expenses and then some).

THanks,
Stocktrader

Ah, thanks. By transfer too much, do you mean that the paint transferred to the chip too much (too heavy of coating), or do you mean that the paint transfers back off the chip? If the second, you said you didn't do any prep. I suspect that you'll at least want to wash them with regular dish soap. From my old modeling days though, I know that a quick dip in alcohol primes plastic pretty good for painting. I have no idea though what the product instructions recommend. You'd think that since the commercial shows them painting patio chairs, that transfer wouldn't be an issue. One likely wouldn't want paint on one's bum.

Regarding my computer chip design, I'll post a reply in that thread, so as not to thread jack.

Do the Krylon painted chips leave color on your fingers too or is mainly chip to chip?

Nothing on the fingers at all and none on gentle contact. But, when I scraped edge to center... I'll try and grab pics.

Re: Another Faux Clay Dye Job (poor man's version)

WOW, I am not a fauxman (we do not even have them in Sweden I am pretty sure) but I love half pie chips. I am very impressed by the looks of these faux chips, great work.

You are a true genius and a mad chiper.

Thanks for sharing.

1/4 peroxide 1/4 teaspoon of koolaid made a mixture that I would guess color 50 chips

There is really no loss of liquid when your dying a solid object.

No color issues at all.

I will say that the koolaid chips I did do not seem as dark as the Rit dye chips stonker did. I could probably play around with the koolaid to make them darker but they are more of a tinted color, if that makes sense.

Here are some pics of the half pies I did, pink & green. I recently did 20 orange which are more of a peach color & the original whites are in the picture for comparison.

Man, I am going to laser in a "Match Play 5 - NCV" into one of those half pies!

Can't wait.
