Awesome idea Winters!!!! Is the chip you dyed red or pink? it looks pink in the pics but the package was for red kool aid.

Brilliant idea WINTERS! This may be the best way of getting that totally custom Faux Clay chip I've always wanted. I could not imagine going through all of that work for several hundred chips but it may be the ticket for fifty or so for the higher denoms.

It was Cherry so, yes it was dark. I soaked it for 20mins and got a pink hue to the chip. The process is slow, but with time could be perfected to produce some pretty unique chips.
I like the wax idea, but suggest not using candle wax. I'm still trying to get the candle fragrance off my hands, the chips & our kitchen counter.
