I got 100 St jo $5 chips today adn they have the hotstamp that was put on them before they could be sold, I am aware you can remove this I just dont know how.
Also they are a bit dirty and have some gunk on them, how is the best way to clean these?
Ahh yes - Drano as it is affectionately called. Just don't tell your friends what you cleaned your chips with or they might not want to play with your chips...also as I saw on another post somewhere, if you decide to roll around naked on your nice chips - please don't share that with anyone either
The *best* way, IMHO is isopropyl alcohol. It cleans them up well, but it takes some elbow grease.
The fast and still pretty good way is non-acetone nail polish remover... but don't leave it on too long, as it will dull the finish.
I used ethyl rubbing alcohol (not isopropyl) to remove the hotstamps on my St. Jo's. The hot stamps melted right off - no elbow grease was involved. The alcohol did an excellent job cleaning the chips as well.
Just be aware that you'll have to oil them afterward.
