I'm new to poker chips' world. I just bought a set of paulson CRYSTAL PARK. They were dirty. I soaked them in detergent for 20 mins and scrubbed the hell out of them. Is this method okay? Will it brittle the clay chips? After i cleaned it , the color look lighter than the the uncleaned one, did i just mess up the color?

short answer: yeah, it's fine. The reason it's lighter is because you took the hand oil off. It will come back after playing with them for a long time. You can speed it up with a little mineral or spoon oil. Don't leave oil on chips overnight.

It'll will depend on the temperature of the water.
If it's too hot it will fade some chips.

I use lukewarm water with a bit of OxyClean.
