Re: MGM Grand chip abuse (or how NOT to care for your chips)

IT is Vegas where if you pay it CAN happen just a matter of if you want to "pay to Play" I'll be there again in April How many should I bring back and what are they worth Over and above the $3 that it will cost me?

Re: MGM Grand chip abuse (or how NOT to care for your chips)

Well one of these just sold on eBay for $41!
I have to get ahold of my source in Vegas... "Hello, Dad... Can you pick me up a dozen $3 grands?"

Re: MGM Grand chip abuse (or how NOT to care for your chips)

I was just there this past weekend and could not get the dealer or anyone else to sell me one. Binions had a $4 chip as well and I asked the dealer I was talking to the whole session if I could get one and he said he's not allowed to sell them. He was kidding around saying he should make a store on Ebay and sell them to people.

Re: MGM Grand chip abuse (or how NOT to care for your chips)

That does it! I already have my ticket to Vegas in 5+ weeks, so now I have a new strategy:

Walk up to every table game I can find and "buy-in" for $3. Sooner or later someone will give one of those awesome chips to me

Re: MGM Grand chip abuse (or how NOT to care for your chips)

Plan "B":
Go to dealer school, it's only a 4 week program. Receive your credentials then get really really good at dealing. So good you end up dealing at the WSOP Main event. MGM will then come knocking on your door all "Oh, please Oh please will you be one of our dealers?". Then when you have them begging for you to be there dealer you say, "Yeah sure. But I don't want no stinking pay check. I want a Mint $3 chip every day delivered directly to me in an airtight."

I like plan B, it might just work!
