Chips: 199 | | | To oil or not to oil? I have a set of Mardi Gras clays coming from acesandfaces and I have a couple questions. I've read many threads on oiling clay chips, mainly ASMs and BCs, and I still have a few questions. Is the oiling of the chips just to bring out the color better or is it to preserve the chips. Most of what I've read is just to bring the nice color back to them. If the color is good should I just leave them alone? I forgot to mention, they are new.
Thanks |

I don't think oil will "preserve" the chip or make it last longer. Without direct damage, they'll last longer than you either way. |

Congratulations on your new set. Your gonna love them! |

didnt have them that long but have notice with my paulson that it seems to help a bit with color rub off and may help keep them from getting dirty as quickly.
dont make the same mistake i did - a little oil goes a long way. |

Just play with them, they'll be fine. |
