How do I clean dirty Paulson Vineyard 50 cent chips

I just acquired some Paulson Vineyard 50 cent chips and they are kindof dirty. I was wondering what is the best/safest thing to buy to clean them with. Would simple dishsoap work? suggestions please

Whatever you do, you must keep your fingers over the hotstamp. You can clean them with a toothbrush but extreme care must be used.

Re: How do I clean dirty Paulson Vineyard 50 cent chips

SMT, GREAT QUESTION!

I had the same problem with some 50c Vineyards as well. Dish soap and Magic Eraser won't cut it! I've never seen a Paulson hold on to dirt like this...

My only thought is that the "dirt" is actually a foil rub from the chips being shuffled with other stamped 50c chips. Maybe that's why it's hard to remove.

Re: How do I clean dirty Paulson Vineyard 50 cent chips

Read this post and then try a few. FROM ALL THE DAYS OF TESTING I DID, NOT ONE HOT STAMPED CHIP WAS DAMAGED, BECAUSE IT WAS SOAKED. I SOAKED SOME FOR 4 DAYS.

Re: How do I clean dirty Paulson Vineyard 50 cent chips

Unfortunately the "dirt" on these chips doesn't seem to be hand grime, so I'm not sure the pipe shield would work. It's almost like a metallic foil rub from other chips.

Even abrasive methods, like Magic Eraser, won't get it.

If its the small font .50 chip, they will never come clean so you should sell at least one to me...kidding.
