Does anybody know what the best humidity % is to keep your room at to store paulson chips in? Would it be the drier the better, like 25% ? Or is there such a thing as too dry ? My room is currently at 35% and I just want to make sure that they won't warp or get too brittle. I don't want to pretend that I know, so if someone knows could they please give me a heads up? Thanks a ton !!

This is a good question and I do not really have a clue.
Cigars shall have about 65-70 though and if the humidity went down to 35 they become dry as the desert so I can't possibly think that your chips are in any danger.

Just common sense tells me that the range is at least from 25% to 75%. Maybe even higher. I don't think humidity is too much of a concern with chips while items such as cigars are sensitive to the right amount of humidity. I would feel that 35% to 50% and 50 to 65 degrees F would be the ideal storage conditions.

I'm sure one of our heating experts will chime in, but 35% is to low for your house in general. I really don't think it's going tomatter to the chips, unless they get down to 15 to 20 % for years

Well it's my done over basement, so it has to be pretty low in humidity or it gets musty smelling.

In a basement in Mass. humidty should be over 50%. If basement is smelly, mostly like means your humidity is very high. For humans, a healthy humidity is from 50% to 60%. Not a heating expert but I had force hot air system before and I put in a humidifier in furnace because force air hot is dry and I read up on the subject.
