Re: Another new cleaning method, UPDATED!!!

OC, dishwashing detergent is not a "new cleaning method" and if you mislead the people like this again your FC nation status will be up for review.

I run 8s, I guess I'll be using your slightly cheaper alternative.

Re: Another new cleaning method, UPDATED!!!

I'm happy, and have abought 400 chips is the soaker as I type. Soak, shake, soak shake, come back in 3 to 4 days and clean. Pretty simple.

Re: Another new cleaning method, UPDATED!!!

I used a dishwasher once. BIG mistook!
Guess a coldsoak in the detergent would have been smarter than a hi-temp steaming

Re: Another new cleaning method, UPDATED!!!

I'd always thought that soaking clay chips for an extended period of time was bad for the chips. Won't it break them down since they are clay?

I've let chips sit for a week in water and also min oil with no damage to the chip.
The inlay was another story, but nothing major. The liquid can creep into outer edges of the inlay and cause it to darken and produce a halo effect.

So, their shouldn't be any issues whatsoever with stamped chips?

No idea.
If you like I'll soak one for a week.

I was trying to save people money and I don't count dawn as any old dishwashing detergent since it blows all the others away.
It worked good just not as good as the pipe shield.

I've used Dawn and a Mr. Clean magic eraser for great effect. But it will straight up wipe out a hot stamp. That comes from the Mr. Clean I believe.
