slippery used Paulson Chips

I
recently purchased 500 used Paulson Ambassador Plaza hotel and casion chips.
I cleaned them with mr. Clean and water and a scrub brush. Now that the
chips are clean I noticed that they are slippery when stacking and do not
seen to have a clay grip. These chips have the corners rounded a bit but are in OK shape.
Just not sure why they feel slippery, I mean not much better
than cheap $50 set for stacking. I have a stack of Paulson Pharoah's chips
and it is night and day. Any suggestions?

Did you scrub too hard? I know when I was cleaning my St. Jo's I rubbed off some of the cross hatching. I don't know how rough Mr. Clean is on clay chips but it sounds to me like you wore the cross hatching off the chips. If it was the Mr. Clean Eraser that you used then disregard the above.

Hi, thanks for the welcome, I don't know if there was any cross hath left as they were used casino chips. Is nthis normal for used casino chips or is there somethig I can do ie. should I try sanding or something?

the more used they are, the smoother they become. dirt on the chips are important for keeping them stackable...

the good news is they'll get dirty again. bad news...well, you already know the bad news.

If there wasn't any cross hatching on the used chips then there is nothing that can be done. As noted above, used clays become smooth and the edges become rounded. Sweet set of chips but I hate to hear this.

It's the inlay design that's causing the Pharaoh's to perform better.

Honestly, I think if you just use them often, you'll see them start sticking better. Barring that, you can use a DAB of oil rubbed into them and you'll see a difference.
