Grands - Cleaning Oiling Toiling **WARNING LOTS O' PRON*

So as some of you may know I ended up buying the 3000 Grands from the "gentlemen" that was just a bit off... (if you wanna know how all that turned out ask and I will tell you) anyoo, once I got them I was really happy with the condition of the chip. The edges on these are very good, they stack well, obviously they have been used and show some character but the majority of these look near new, but they were very dirty! I started to clean them one at a time with a baby toothbrush and letting 15 soak at a time in some tide! Ughhhhhhhhhhh that wasnt gonna cut it, way to slow!

Well then came Oldcycles and his new cleaning option
(see this thread to read all about that -
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...ng-option.html)

I gave that a whirl and wow was I impressed... I have averaged about 30 seconds a chip to wash them after they soaked in the bio solution for 10 to 12 hours! Took a electric toothbrush to them for a quick scrub, then rinsed them well and let them dry... next I applied a light mineral oil by hand.. let stand for a bit and wiped off with a soft cloth... let them dry more and then wiped again! So I guess you could say this is a testiment to Oldcycles and his RotoRooter product and idea! (Thanks again Cycles)

Anyhoo... I have about 2500 done and wanted to post a mess of pics so here it goes... be kind my daughter dropped my expensive digital camera (busted big time) and so these are taken with hers!

Oh ya so a question for you all... anyone have any idea a fair value on these... I dont need 3000 of them and have decided to prob move a few!

Dirty little chips...

10 to 12 hours of confinement - The Soak Box

Just out no scrub (I was careful not to touch these other than to pull em out and lay em down, as you can see they are still wet)

Cleaning Station (All set up to watch TV and clean chips)

Scrubbed and a Rinse

Well, without the metal slug, I doubt these chips are official casino weight... I doubt they could be worth more than 2-3c each...

But since you put in alot of sweat equity, I'll offer you 5c per chip. ...And I'll take all 3,000.

Nice work, thanks for the pics. (GO easy on the daughter...she didn't mean to drop the camera...)

Great post! I love to buy some of the yellows and/or orange-colored chips if you end up having extras of these.
