Re: New cleaning option.

Nice work OC.

I'm disappointed in the responses...usually by now someone will post a warning of the dangers of submersing your "clay" chips in liquid.

Note: I have no experience with soaking or not soaking "clay" chips.

Cool, I like the way the HS really appeared after your bacterial hokus pokus. Great work

HA!! Lesson learned. Avoid using idioms around plumbers.

Re: New cleaning option.

Wow! Great job OC.

One question: this seems like great stuff and pretty safe, so why is it only available to plumbers?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info and pics, Oldcycles.

I meant to make a point of this in the previous post but forgot...

This is how every hotstamp chip owner is going to clean them now, I imagine. After all, diamond chip cleaner takes the hotstamp right off, doesn't it?

Because roto rooter is a greedy corporation like any other and this way they can charge more by making our customers buy only from us.
Anyone can buy this stuff all you do is ask RR to deliver it.
Free delivery.
Just call RR and tell them you want a gallon of pipe shield.
If you live in columbus ask for tech 2803.
There are other companies copying this stuff and you can find some over the counter but it usually costs more and they might have other stuff in it that is not safe.

Re: New cleaning option.

Nice job, I think I saw those on ebay a while back, a couple of hundred in a carousal?

Glad to see the hotstamp actually appeared rather than disappeared when they were cleaned.
