Chips: 438 | | | Submerge in Oil, or apply lightly. I see lots of people kind of arguing about this, I was thinkign I should just make a quick poll as I am very inexpericned with cleaning and oiling chips and I am about to oil my 450 Bluechip Jamesbonds.
Write any comments as you wish, but most importantly, vote only if you HAVE OILED OUR CHIPS, dont just vote because you would do it in that way. |

That way it will also get oiled over time by people.
Or what I might do is, oil them, let them fully dry for 2 days, then oil them again, and let them fully dry.
That way I have no chance of destroying the chip or hurting the Inlay, but at the same time I am getting a good nice amount of oil sucked into the chip.
Some of my chips are beyond dry, go check some of them out. http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...condition.html |

a brush or fingers works fine.
submerging them = more mess, more time, more likely to overdo it |

Chips: 3,054 | | | Re: Submerge in Oil, or apply lightly. I used a high-density mineral oil. I submerged my BCC Samurai Palace chips. It probably doesn't matter whether you submerge or not, but I wanted to make sure my chips got a thorough bathing. As long as you give them a good drying afterwards, it shouldn't make much difference.
* EDIT * I should add that lots of people will tell you that oil could seep under the inlay. I didn't notice this at all, and in some cases my chips were submersed for over an hour (but if you're going to do this, make sure its HIGH DENSITY, or "heavy" white mineral oil). That may be a concern with softer chips (like Paulsons and TR Kings) but Blue Chip company chips are very hard and don't absorb much oil.
