Brand New Bc Chips Looking Dry Need Help

Check out this link and let me know.

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...condition.html

I am going to clean and oil these chips, how should I go about doing this (not very experienced with clay chips) and also never cleaned any chips.
I saw for oiling that any Mineral Oil seems to do the job, but what about cleaning?
I saw that some people without Hotstamps used Oxyclean which I think we have, but I have a Grocery Store 2 seconds a way so I can go get anything.

If someone who has cleaned Bluechips before, pefereably with a Inlay not a hotstamp and could give me some info that would be great, I want to clean these in the next couple of days so if i can getsome info on how to do it, thanks.

If you look at the 2nd set of pictures in the link, do you even think I should clean the chips? Or just oil them?

Re: Brand New Bc Chips Looking Dry Need Help

when I oil chips, I put a cap full of mineral oil in a dish and I get out a new soft bristle toothbrush. Mineral oil goes a long way, you won't need much. I briskly spread the oil with the brush and set the chips out on sheets of paper towels. I then use a cloth to wipe them dry, letting them sit for 10-15 minutes is plenty of time, in my opinion, before drying them. Make sure to use a towel or cloth that won't transfer lint or fibers onto your chips. Some people dump their chips in buckets and let them sit for extended amounts of time, which I find to be excessive and unnecessary. If you use a soft toothbrush and oil, it may help to mask or remove the dirt.

Re: Brand New Bc Chips Looking Dry Need Help

I think mine came from CVS, call the other CVS in town, if you have one, or try Walgreens.

Re: Brand New Bc Chips Looking Dry Need Help

CVS should have it, though Judy 16 yr old chewing gum at the register might not know about it. It'll be on a bottom shelf with the laxatives and other creepy stuff like that. Walgreen's/Eckerd's certainly will have it, so will a Wal Mart pharmacy.

I ran into some at a Bed Bath and Beyond that was cutting board oil, and it worked great. But ya gotta check out the label to make sure it is 100% mineral oil.

Re: Brand New Bc Chips Looking Dry Need Help

yeah, that's right...the laxatives...

taken off the CVS site,

"Description

For the relief of occasional constipation. Generally produces bowel movement in 6 to 8 hours. Odorless, tasteless, colorless."

it's $3.35 for a bottle on CVS.com
