Chips: 32 | | | Anybody tried cleaning Faux's? It seems that this forum is catered towards the real clays, but has anybody tried cleaning their faux's? I'm guessing just a mild detergent will be fine since nothing seems to be able to hurt these chips. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Greg |

When they get dirty you just buy some more. |

Thanks,
Greg | I've been wondering this as well, anyone care to do some tests? |

Chips: 1,650 | | | Re: Anybody tried cleaning Faux's? I have cleaned several of mine that had fallen on the floor and rolled under my fridge in the garage. They rolled into something pretty gummy and had some blackish gunk on them. I rinsed them in hot water, then used normal dish soap and scrubbed the gunk off with a rag. You really can't hurt these under normal conditions.
Now if it would have had a label on it....well I would have been a little more cautious. Probably just a rag run under hot water. I am not sure what soap would do to a label, specifiically the adhesive if it was a vinyl label.
Hope that helps,

Chips: 3,054 | | | Re: Anybody tried cleaning Faux's? Unfortunately, grey, orange, and (especially) yellow faux clays cannot be cleaned. But you can't just throw them in the garbage either (some "hazardous waste" bylaw). Just send them to me and I'll dispose of them for you. Please use USPS and declare the value at $1 on the customs form (but don't mention "hazardous waste").
All the other colours can be washed with soap and water... |

Hell, you can bake them at 350 degress for almost 2 hrs with no damage. http://www.chiptalk.net/x-poker-chips-Bake-Off.html | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
