cleaning paulson cherries

I'm so anxious to see these clean, I don't want to wait to order chip cleaner. Can I clean them with a soft bristle tooth-brush and warm water?

Thanks

Not sure. The chip cleaner sure worked good on mine.

Re: cleaning paulson cherries

You should talk to Wilson about cleaning Cherries. I believe she had really good luck with Diamond Chip Cleaner.

Re: cleaning paulson cherries

I have used mild hand soap and a toothbrush to clean some of my clay chips with very good success. I wouldn't do it on hot stamp chips though, it will take the stamp off if you're not careful.

I scrubbed some cherries with mild soap and a toothbrush, and it didn't damage the hotstamp at all. YMMV though.

Re: cleaning paulson cherries

If you don't want to wait for chip cleaner, Magic eraser and Brawny Easy Eraser works great. You can get these at most grocers, dollar stores or Walmart.

Re: cleaning paulson cherries

Heck, washing detergent does the trick nicely.
Tried just soaking a really grimy chip in warm water and detergent once. A couple of minutes, and most of the grime was gone. A soft toothbrush, and the rest was history.

Re: cleaning paulson cherries

I just want to reiterate how careful you need to be around those hot stamps. Once the cleaner sits on them for a while one stroke can take the color or the foil right off (its translucent yellow over silver foil).
